To test your Internet speed, please go to WOW's speed test site. You can also link to this site via the Online Account Manager. This site resides on the WOW! network measuring your current connection’s performance between your devices and our speed test servers. Other sites test outside of the WOW! network and causes results to vary for factors that are outside WOW!'s environment.
Customers with eero devices should use the eero app to view the speeds coming out of these devices.
To get the most accurate results:
- Use a modem or WiFi-enabled modem that meets your Internet service package's minimum requirements (DOCSIS 3.0 or 3.1). Check compability here.
- Use a computer or device that is capable of receiving the speeds you have subscribed to. Devices connect at different speeds based on model and when they were manufactured. Some devices may not individually achieve speed offered by your internet plan.
- Disable all other programs and applications that could be using network capacity which may skew the result.
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect your laptop or computer directly to your router/gateway. Testing via a WiFi connection will reflect lower speeds. 1/1.2/3/5 Gig speeds may require a direct ethernet connection (and equally capable equipment) to support maximum Internet speed.
